Summer Running Information for athletes who are new to Cross Country
Below, we provide Summer training plans for girls who are new to the team. Returning girls are encouraged to contact Coach Barry for a training plan that best fits their ability, experience and aspirations. Quite obviously, if you are a new girl who doesn't believe any of the plans below fit you, then just contact Coach Barry and we can discuss what's best for you.
Summer Training plans for New Girls:
- New Girls, Level I: new girls with a formal running background who are new to AHS Cross Country, but capable of running on a Varsity level
- New Girls, Level II: active/athletic new girls with no formal running background, who come from another sport that hope to run on a Varsity level
- New Girls, Level III: higher level Group B girls, capable of running a bit more but not too much
- New Girls, Level IV: Group B girl - interested in CC, but definitely a beginner
