Assumption Cross Country

You've arrived at the Assumption Cross Country team website. Assumption's first Cross Country team was formed in 1981 and in that inaugural year the team won the Regional Championship. Since that time, we've finished in the top four at State every year since 2005, winning State Championships in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013, and we were a 3-time Nike Cross Nationals team qualifier in 2010, 2011 and 2012. This site is not only a source of current season team information, but is also dedicated toward highlighting the accomplishments of the many Assumption Cross Country athletes who have competed since that first season.

2017 Cross Country

2017 Cross Country officially begins on July 15, but the team meets informally prior to that point (May 31-June 23). Informal runs are optional, but provide opportunities for girls to meet, run and spend time together as a group. A schedule of these runs, along with an official Summer practice schedule and all relevant joining information can be found in the Summer Practice Info link at this website and by clicking here.

St Francis High School, Our Sister Team

Assumption Cross Country has a sister team relationship with the St Francis High School Cross Country team, a former State Champion girls program in (Sacramento) California. We first visited St Francis during the Fall 2007 season and competed in the Granite Bay Invitational. St Francis returned the favor and visited Louisville in 2010, competing in our Academy Meet that season. We've since visited St Francis on 2 other occasions, 2011 and 2015, with the current plan being that we will visit St Francis every 4 years. To learn more about St Francis HS, here's a link to the St Francis High School website.
